pom pom top

When I went wool shopping with my Mom a few weeks ago, I came across wool with giant pom poms in it. Now I am most likely never going to knit such a jersey but the idea stuck and I made little t-shirts for the upcoming Carnival Party in the Park!

MATERIALS
White T-shirt
Coloured Pom Poms
Needle and White Thread
Scissors

DIRECTIONS
1. Thread your needle with double thread and tie a knot at the end.
2. Thread your needle through the pom pom and then into the t-shirt. Then repeat but only insert the needle half way through the pom before returning so the stitching does not show at the top of the pom pom.
3. Tie a knot at on the underside. Then tie another knot a few mm apart from the first knot. Cut between the two knots - this way you already have a knotted thread for your next pom pom.
4. Repeat in a random pattern all over the front and sleeves of the t-shirt.

Budget
Best of all this is really inexpensive to make, the t-shirts I bought 2 for the price of 3, so it worked out at R20 each and the poms were R30 a bag. So all in all R30 a shirt!
