If you are one of our shop customers, you will know that you have to push a buzzer to be let into our stores. Last week, Kerry was saying how our little JHB gate is getting a bit of wear and tear as the gate is being tugged on prior to the buzzer going off. So she had the idea of a little sign - and who knows how my mind works but I remembered this little vintage frame sign with real buzzer that I bought for my Paris themed spare bedroom from Lisa Golightly.

So I thought I would use this as inspiration for our door sign, and then at the same time I asked Amanda to do a poster version of the original. That way you too can have a little sign up - let us hope they both work!

WOW! How amazing is our Valentine's Day window that Amy S. created in our JHB store. There are so many details I love - and more importantly ones that you can easily recreate at home.

THINGS WE LOVE
- The giant love letter made from white cardboard.
- The 101 red love letters complete with heart seals.
- The red, pink and white heart honeycombs and paper daisies.
- Our "little" sweetheart couple spending some quality time together - just swinging in the park.
- (not pictured) The little picnic of cupcakes in pretty heart liners and cordial in glass bottles they are going to enjoy afterwards...

The table highlights not only some of the party supplies we used from our shop, goodies from our hire room; but also many of the free printables that you get when your purchase the book. GOOD HOUSE - The Balloon Experiment

The ladies at In Good Company JHB performed an experiment this week. Each got to "train" on how to blow up the helium balloons and then over the next week they are testing, measuring, evaluating to see how long the helium really lasts! Let the Science Experiment begin!

Now that the sun is shining in Cape Town, after a very wet winter, Maike was able to do a little bit of a courtyard makeover in our shop. How clever are the chalkboard paint houses on the walls!

A few years ago when in I was in Selfridges, London I shopped up a storm in their Cath Kidston department. I remember all the beautiful products but also how lovely the shop fittings were. One of the things that stuck in my mind was their set of tables stacked like a cake. I was glad that I was fondly reminded of this when looking at images of Miette Bakery in San Francisco, and so naturally when it came to furnishing our entrance our own little tables of cakes was born - and in pink.
