flower power
For me, my most memorable part of the Alice in Wonderland Disney version are all the singing flowers, and so no tea party would be complete without a wide variety of blooms on display. The part I enjoy most about our tea party is that the arrangements can be created by anyone and on a relatively small budget.
OUR FLOWER TIPS
- The joy of the Disney version is the variety of the flowers, so enjoy shopping for all sorts of different flowers available, from daffodils and dahlias to roses and ranunculus the possibilities are endless.
- Don't only think of cut flowers, visit your local nursery and use potted versions, not only will it give a more authentic garden feel, but the flowers are usually cheaper and can be planted in your garden afterwards. Think potted roses, pansies, blue bells and daisies.
- Forgo vases and opt for "household items" to display the flowers in, naturally teapots and teacups are just thing for the the tabletop.
- Add extra elements to the flower arrangements: pretty ribbon bows, fabric/feathered butterflies and for the final touch, especially if your party is for young children, give your flowers faces just like the movie.
