pin the tail on the donkey
Yeah! We have started a mini little series on the blog today, all about suggestions for party games. Some will be old classics and others you have never heard of, but all good fun. I love party games and I think every party (even a dinner party) needs a bit of light entertainment even if it is just for a few minutes to break the ice and get everyone in the party mood!
Today's party game is a real classic, and one worth having in "storage" just in case you need to whip up some fun in an instant. Here are the details on how Pin the Tail on the Donkey is played, and we are super excited to punt our new version in the shop that is a 1930's vintage classic and for R50 a great bargain.

DIRECTIONS
Pin the Tail on the Donkey is a game played by groups of children. It is common at birthday parties and other gatherings. A picture of a donkey with a missing tail is tacked to a wall within easy reach of children. One at a time, each child is blindfolded and handed a paper "tail" with a push pin or thumbtack poked through it. The blindfolded child is then spun around until he or she is disoriented. The child gropes around and tries to pin the tail on the donkey. The player who pins their tail closest to the target, the donkey's rear, wins.
The game can also be played by teenagers and adults, especially if the "donkey" is replaced with depictions of something or someone else. As a drinking game, the person with the worst tail pinning is awarded one shot of a selected alcohol.
