tricks with tape no. 3

Having a guestbook at a wedding is one of those traditions that I quite like. It gives an opportunity for your guests to send their best wishes to you in writing, and is a keepsake that you will treasure for ever.

GOOD TIP
Did you know on average only 30% of your guests actually sign your guestbook? And it makes sense if you think that most people are couples, so then it is usually the lady that will put pen to paper, added to the fact that this book usually only appears later in the reception where many would not necessarily make their way to the table. So, for a little bit of advice take a page out of the English tradition's book - and have your guestbook table at the ceremony. Your guests will all be arriving at different times, and it will give them something "to do" whilst they wait for you to arrive or just before they make their way to the reception.

We love this idea from Martha Stewart Weddings - Summer issue where a photo album has been "colour co-ordinated" to the wedding colours by using washi tape. Something fun and colourful, it alleviates the need for a gluestick and has the advantage that photos and other cute mementoes can be "scrapbooked" alongside.
