As mentioned here one of the things I had to do in Paris was to go to Laudrée and try out their macaroons. It was actually by chance that we find the store. It had been raining on and off all day, it was already the afternoon and we were tired - and then I spotted the Laudrée van parked in an alley! I knew the store must be near but where? Luckily, just one block down we found the pale mint tearoom and boutique - with a queue of tourists. But it moved fast, and the smell inside was heavenly.

The shop was in true French style, and the staff were wonderful, Zara and Bailey even each scored a free macaroon! We tried just about ever flavour and I am willing to answer Martha's question "Is the Macaroon the new cupcake?" with a resounding yes! What do you think?
