My friend Jen held an Oscar Party for her daughter's birthday and we had such fun coming up with ideas and pinning everything we could find onto the Pinterest Oscar Party Board.
The invitation that Amanda custom design for us was based on an idea that I saw Sharnel Dollar Designs did for her daughter's World Tour Party. The idea being that the invitation was made into a double sided card that is threaded through ribbon so that it also acts as a "press" pass or VIP ticket on the day. Carolyn loved handing these out and the guests really enjoyed not only receiving them but wearing them as they arrived on the red carpet complete with the papparazzi snapping away!
p.s. another brilliant idea that Jen did was to send another envelope a few days before the Awards Evening, letting them know that they had been nominated to receive an Oscar for their movie and that they should prepare an acceptance speech should they win. (More details to follow on how Jen did the ceremony). But the excitement levels pre-party were at an all time after this envelope came in the mail.
