if you go down to the woods today

You are in for a big surprise! Our Teddy Bear Printable Party Collection has been such a hit for little girls and boys birthday parties. It is the perfect theme for a neutral baby shower and one of my personal favourite first birthday or twin birthday party themes. Largely because at this young age, they really do love their teddy bears and it makes for some great party ideas:

INVITATION Fill in the printable party invitation, and be sure to remind your guests to bring their favourite little bear along.

DECORATIONS Print coloured paper and cut into triangles, as well as the printable party teddy bears; attach to dowel sticks, stick in grass for quirky little grass decorations.
Print out the printable party bunting in a phrase like TEDDY BEARS PICINC, string onto ribbon and hang up. Blow up giant red or white balloons and stake into the ground to designate where the party is at!

TABLE Create the party area with picnic basket centrepieces on blankets with scatter pillows all around, set alongside lots of soft toy bears to play with.  Serve the food on our red with white polka dots paper cups and plates with bamboo cutlery and tie with bakers twine. Fill galvanised tin buckets with all white or red flowers and trim with red and white ribbon.

MENU Fill galavanised tin buckets with ice and old fashioned coca cola bottles with our red and white striped retro straws and use Consol glass jars to serve good old fashioned lemonade, decorate straws with the printable party circles. Cover water bottles with printable party patterned paper. Set up a large galvanised bucket with ice filled with slices of watermelon, and have a watermelon eating competition. Set up a traditional "bake sale" table and ask all your guests to bring a plate of baked goodies. Use the printable party tented place cards to label each item like "Tracy's To-Die-For Chocolate Cake". Fill glass jars or buckets with marshmallows, biscuits, chocolate and skewers for a SMORES BAR. You could even hire our blackboard hearts to write up the menu.

FUN AND GAMES Buy bottles of bubbles and customise with patterned paper. Hire our Bocce Set or Croquet Set, or bring along a big ball or frisbee. Have a best dressed bear competiton, sing the Teddy Bears Picnic Song, or go one a Teddy Bear Hunt (hide small little teddies for the little ones to find!).

DRESS UP Make a customised t-shirt for the birthday girl or boy, simply iron on the transfer from the Printable Party, and top it off with some printable bear ears (these you stick to an alice band). The ears also make for a cute and easy accessory for all the little party guests.

FAVOURS Make the smores into mini kits: fill sweet paper bags or gables boxes with marshmallows, skewers, chocolates and biscuits. These kits can also be made up per family. Or simply fill little bags with Woolies Teddy Bears Picnic Gummi Sweets, or and I just thought of it now: Caramello Bears (drat! now I am really craving one:). Add the printable party THANK YOU favour tag to the top.
