For Father's Day this Sunday, we asked Seven Swans to design this fun Word Search Dad-inspired printable. Yesterday, we shared how it makes for great wrapping paper, and today you will see it serving as a novel placemat for your Father's Day Lunch or Dinner.
- Pick a rustic or retro colour scheme - we went for black, white, pale blue and dirty yellow.
- Forgo linen, the hard and rustic look of a wooden table is well suited to a casual meal.
- For flowers, use potted cacti or succulents not only are they less girly but still very on trend.
- Use the word search printable as place mats by printing onto thick textured paper - not only will this protect your surface but keep everyone entertained for a bit. (I actually tired it out and this one is quite hard!).
- For fun name tags, use everyday items - like these little wooden key tags that I found at a decor store but you could just pick up a bunch from the hardware of supermarket.
- Another cool idea is not to have name tags, but instead the person's photo to show them where they are seated. These make for a nice favour too! (you may even wish to use only baby photos!).
- Also, one could use a sharp knife to remove some of the coating off a pencil and then you can "personalise" the person's pencil.
