chicken or the egg?

THE THEME
For our Marigold and Pewter Easter, we knew we were stepping away from the traditional pastel palette, and so we thought it might be fun to also give it a bit of a modern feel but still have a hint of Easter. This was achieved by not only limiting the colour palette but also the typical Easter motifs. So no bunnies or little chicks were in sight, just some eggs and a chicken or two.

If you are looking for some other Easter themes here are some more ideas:
Woodland Wonder - not into eggs and bunnies at all? Go for a forest feel. This is also a good idea if you live in the Southern Hemisphere as the rustic look is well suited to Autumn, as opposed to overseas "pretty & pastel" Springtime look. (also, if you want to sneak in a little critter or two Lindt chocolate bunnies make for great place setting party favours).
Check out our Good Newsletter for our feature on this theme.
Vintage Easter - sundappled colours with bunnies & breakfast - see the spread.
Check out last year's Easter Good Newsletter that featured:
Chocolate Chic
Beatrix Potter
Bright & Beautiful
Lovely Lilac
Also some blog exclusives:
My Easter table last year: Duck Egg Blue & Chocolate
Our Easter Craft Party that won 3rd place in Maddycakes Muse Spring/Easter Competition 2010.

More Marigold & Pewter ideas to follow this week, and another new Easter party next week!
