baby book shower

Have you seen the latest issue of Martha Stewart Living? They have featured one of the most gorgeous baby showers ever. And the part I like is that this look is not impossible to recreate this book themed celebration.

THINGS WE LOVE:
- The colour palette: the soft mix of pale pinks and blues but then a hit of honeysuckle pink! A good idea for example for a boy baby shower would be to pick soft blues and yellows/greys but then have a shot of aqua blue!
- The customised stationery, which MS Living has for free download on their website. Looking for something drop us an email and we can design a customised stationery suite for you. Suprisingly we just did a set for a boy's baptism centered around the book The Little Prince.
- This garland is absolutely dreamy! See MS Living website for the instructions, and all you need is some colourful twine, miniature pegs, some ribbon to make flags and little cut out stars. Speaking of which for the baptism that we assisted with we made custom mobile decorations: so old fashioned stars, crescent moons and crowns.
- The stacked booked menu is a genius idea and simple too! A bit of coloured paper, any hardback books and some pretty penmanship.
- Finally, how gorgeous is the Mother Goose inspired food! The key is to keep everything miniature sized and decorate with little ribbon flags, and cut out book shapes stuck to toothpicks!
