Yeah! Just stumbled over a new blog called The Pretty Blog, (via Cap Classique) not only is it exactly that: prettiness at it's best, but it is proudly South African. I have been reading every blog post, but had to stop and share this pretty clever DIY idea. I love it for it's simplicity but even more so for it's versatility, you could use it for every and any occasion - like the idea of Christmas cards just popped in my head (must be because I am shopping up a Christmas storm at the moment!).
You could even laminate the Christmas cards put them in the jar with water and glitter, seal (of course) and ta-da your own homemade photo Christmas snow globe! ooohhh! I am going to have to try that. Oh! and another idea would be to take photos of all different numbers that you see (street signs, on houses etc.) and then pop these photos into the jars and use as table numbers at your next function! Do you have an idea?
