Without sounding like a broken record, one of our favourite things to do at In Good Company is to repurpose everyday items to party goodies. But I think my dad's heart will skip a beat as I doubt he will be so keen on me "trashing" his record collection (maybe he will let me have all those old Springbok records).
If you love music and all things vintage you could use them for wedding invitations with custom labels.

Or if you are child of the 80's - remember neon roll up socks! Then you have to checkout this party over at Maddycakes Muse and use the records as place mats and add a custom menu label.
There are so many good ideas from the party like how rad are those neon sprayed cassette tapes as place cards. Come on surely you are are just dying to throw a party now!
