As promised the photos and tips for throwing a Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower.
REAL GOOD PARTY ADVICE
I always say pick a theme for a baby shower, and better yet one that co ordinates with the baby’s soon to be nursery, that way many of the decorations can serve dual purpose as nursery decorations afterwards. Like the Winnie the Pooh rug and wall stickers used.
The perfect centerpieces have to be soft toys, not only are these too cute, they can be played with by kids at the party and afterwards for many years to come. A fond way to remember the special day.
Balloons have in the past been given such a bad rep at parties, but nowadays you can get such pretty colours and what’s more In Good Company sells the giant round kind that really do look amazing!
Plastic toy figurines make great cupcake toppers.
We used the Disney characters on all of the stationery: save the date, invitations, food labels and thank you cards. This is a good idea for any occasion and can be anything from a motif to a monogramme.
The best way to get a theme of colour scheme across is through the table linen; in this case we were lucky as Winnie the Pooh fabric is readily available. But this would work equally well in relaying just the colour palette.
Bingo was played during the present opening by assigning a number to each gift, this gives time for the guest of honour to enjoy opening the gifts and keeps the guests attention. The bingo cards used are a free download at marthastewart.com.
