happy day
I must share what happened to me the other day… I am busy potty training my daughter Zara, and when we were leaving to go to the shops, she said “I’ve got poo”. So off came all the shoes, socks, clothes, panties, onto the potty and well – nothing. So back on went the panties, clothes, socks shoes etc. and I was just about out the door when Zara said “I’ve got poo”. So trying really hard not to be impatient or raise my voice, off went the shoes, socks, clothes and panties; back onto the potty and nothing… you can see where this is going – needless to say we did it another three times before I just shouted “No, you don’t have a poo!” (give my hands a slap The Baby Whisperer/ Gina Ford etc.) and Zara promptly pulled out her little Winnie the Pooh plush bear from under the pram, shoved him in my face and proudly said “Yes, I do!”.
And today is Winnie the Pooh’s 83rd birthday. We wish him a day filled with fun, and lots of honey!
GOOD TO KNOW
Winnie-the-Pooh, commonly shortened to Pooh Bear and once referred to as Edward Bear, is a fictional bear created by A. A. Milne. The first collection of stories about the character was the book Winnie-the-Pooh (1926), and this was followed by The House at Pooh Corner (1928). Milne also included a poem about the bear in the children’s verse book When We Were Very Young (1924) and many more in Now We Are Six (1927). All four volumes were illustrated by E. H. Shepard.
THE REAL GOOD LIFE
Last week, my sister hosted a sweeter-than-honey Winnie the Pooh picnic for my friend since Grade 1! It was a co-ed event for all of Claire & Steve’s family and friends, and here is a peek at the invitation… Soon we will be posting all the party photos and real good party advice!
