a pop of pink
How lovely is this photo of Vicki's wedding (from I Want That) that she sent to me this morning! Makes you want to run out and have a Love Photo Shoot just for the fun of it! Also, Vicki is about to launch I Want That Wedding in two weeks time - can't wait!

teapot treat
Often we suggest one should use teapots for vases, especially if one is throwing a Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Well now hosting one just got a whole lot easier with these pretty hard cardboard tea pot vases. They have a waterproof centre and a pretty design on both the front and back. We also love the fact that they are kiddie proof - no need to stress anymore about Grannie's china on the little one's table. (we also think it is such a novel way to give cut flowers for a friend's birthday!).

sneak peek
I have to giggle because in our house things don't come in black and white, but rather black, white AND pink! Therefore it is only natural that when our new all pink partyware collection arrived - I squealed with delight!
So, here is a little sneak peek pic. of all the pink prettiness and with nearly 20 different goodies to choose from. It will be available early next week on our website to purchase, and if you love it as much as I do - it is being unpacked today in our showroom (we are open till 2pm) so pop by.

cupcake liners comeback no. 6
Okay, things are getting crazy over here, we were hoping to find a few ideas of what one could do with leftover cupcake liners, but it seems there are way more than that! How awesome is this lantern one spotted over at Family Fun - plus have they have a detailed tutorial on how you can replicate the look.

beautiful backdrop
When creating a focal point for a dessert table or even a wedding ceremony, here is a brilliant idea spotted over at Hostess with the Mostess. Whilst it may take quite a bit of time to make, it is easy to do and you can totally customise it to perfectly suit your party or wedding theme.

By far the most original idea I have seen with cupcake liners are these little mini lampshades spotted over at Intimate Weddings. Who knew one could do so much with little cups of frilly paper - do you have a good idea?

These idea is so simple and yet so effective. All you need are the liners, a lollipop stick and a little bit of patience to create a real WOW topper for your cupcakes (plus the bottom liner can also be matched perfectly!).

The idea of using lots and lots of cupcake liners to make a wreath is brilliant! Not only is it super easy to do, but really cost effective compared to flowers. I also like the idea that you can get the exact colour scheme of your party, and it lasts forever!

home/tuis online
So I am getting the decorating bug again! Maybe it is because now that last month's spring cleaning resulted in a big "throw out" I can now see the potential for a few tweaks here and there in our apartment. Also, I think it is largely to do with the fact that I was able to read both the Home/Tuis and Ideas/Idees magazines online last night!
Yip, these great publications are available to buy online and get delivered right to your inbox before they even hit the shelves. And if you have an iPad you can get them sent there too! Check out the details here.
I particularly enjoyed this Fresh Idea: changing the door knobs on your cupboards, and if they are mismatched even better!
P.s. it was really great to see two of fab. Bombay Duck goodies featured too:
Selection of Sisal Door Mats R180 each
Teapot Chalkboard Wall sticker R55 each

One of the first articles we ever did was about having a glass hurricane vase as part of your staple decor cupboard. Here are some stunning step by step ideas from Depot for making pretty arrangements in each one. The instructions may be in German but I think the photos are probably all one needs to do a good job.
