GOODIES - Our Online Shop

colour crush

Do you have your hopes on a specific colour for your wedding? But are having difficulty in incorporating it into the décor? Then maybe our range of paper lanterns, paper daisies, paper fans and parasols and not to forget our coloured vintage glass is just the answer.

On our website, we have the basic colour spectrum: red, orange, yellow, chartreuse green, ice blue, turquoise blue, pink, fuchsia pink, brown, black and white. But many of these items also come in shades. So think things like sage green or cornflower blue or dove grey.

Drop us a mail and we might just be able to get that exact colour that you have your heart set on.

GOOD LIFE - Real Life Parties

baby shower

Hello Naomi is such inspiration when it comes to all things sweet and simple. Her classic style and cupcakes and cakes are always STUNNING! I just knew I had to share this baby shower that she posted on her blog as it proves that sometimes the simplest of things can be the loveliest. Plus it reminds me of a baby shower that we also helped plan last month - here is a little sneak peek of the invitation.

THINGS WE LOVE:
The watering can centrepieces, even more so because we have similar ones in stock available for hire.
The old fashioned glass bottles filled with blooms, buy or hire our vintage glass ones to get the same look.
The old fashioned glass cake stands - I actually forgot we had glass pedestals, but fortunately Shona reminded me the other day that we do when a bride was enquiring.
See I wasn't over exaggerating when I said Naomi is brilliant! How cute are the cupcake toppers!

GOOD ON PAPER - Printable Parties

carnival

Amanda and Michael of Silvergate Design have done so much for work for In Good Company and our customers, it would be hard to even showcase here a tenth of what they have done! Their versatility and originality is incredible, and for me one of my favourite collections they have done to date is this gorgeous Carnival pastel-hued one for a wedding last year.

But they don't only do things like our printable parties - pop on over to their website to see their incredible portfolio, and if you are looking for someone to help out with your website, advertisements, business cards, in fact pretty much anything!

p.s. They also designed our Venetian Carnival free printable party collection for our Four Festivals in February - get it here.

UP TO GOOD - Behind the Scenes

sticker happy

When doing our Friendship Club article for part of Four Festivals in February feature, it was all about hunting down supplies for a "crafternoon". I was pretty impressed to see the attention to detail the packaging that the stickers came in. In the little cellophane wrapper there was a card detailing little sketches of suggestions of what you can do with your stickers as well as on the other side there was a mandala for one to colour in. How cute is that!

GOODIES - Our Online Shop

classic knobs

For as long as I can remember I have loved everything about Anthropologie, and whilst my husband will never fall for their overall look (if he could live in your typical minimalistic bachelor pad he would), I have managed to sneak in one of their signature looks without to much protest!

Namely, taking off the "boring" drawer pulls off some of our drawers and adding some of these new more fashionable knobs. And we are now pleased to say we have a whole range of knobs from Bombay Duck London for you to purchase online - many of which are the EXACT same ones that I have just seen on Anthro's website, now I just have to hunt down their monogramme mugs and I will be the happiest little housewife alive.

GOOD LOOKS - Themed Parties

ex libris

In this month's issue of the Good Newsletter, the Book Club article was all inspired by Alex's Monthly Book Club. Late last year it was her turn to host Book Club, and we thought it would be fun to put together a printable party to match, that would include a few special touches for the attendees. The collection includes goodies like book plates and little book marks.

Here are few photos from her real life book club and be sure to check out our article for our GET THE LOOK tips.

SOMETHING GOOD - A Good Idea

weird and wonderful

This Green Wedding Shoes wedding has some really great unique elements, and anyone of these would create a great conversation piece at yours.

THINGS WE LOVE:
The jewel toned colour scheme of teal, purples, greens, yellows and white.
The bridesmaids dresses and of course the "bouquets"! Now that is an original idea if I ever saw one - and even if you don't do it for all your bridesmaids, how about the flower girl?
And have your ever seen such a funky seating chart as this one? And how cool would it be to colour in the couple alongside your well wishes?
Last but not least can you spot the pony in the terranium!

GOOD LOOKS - Themed Parties

and the award goes to...

If you haven't already figured it out, our final Festival in February is the Academy Awards aka the Oscars. I am really excited to watch it this year, after all who doesn't love Colin Firth! I actually had to giggle the other day, I read this blog called White and Wander, and really enjoy it but this post about Colin had me for a very blonde moment thinking oh my word "I know his wife!".

The printables for this party are great, as Nancy from Creatus Design made them quite versatile in that they are ideal for the Oscars, but can also be used for an Old Hollywood Party or any Movie Night really. Really all you need is some popcorn and a good DVD. Check out all our party ideas tomorrow when finally the big reveal of Issue 26 is going to happen.
