CHRISTMAS PROJECTS
A few weeks ago, In Good Company had the pleasure of hosting together with essentials magazine, a Christmas Workshop at Multiflora. We had an overwhelming response with hundreds of people attending the morning class. We hope you all enjoyed it and for those of you who were unable to attend and for those of you who are keen for a little bit of "revision", over the next few weeks we are going to be sharing all of the ideas and tutorials right here on the blog. Plus, all of the Danish Christmas printables that we used are available for free download here.
Check out the two tutorials that we have already posted:
- advent calendar garland
- dear santa letter
and all posts will be labeled "merry crafting" so easy for you to search.
course introduction
Create a magical Nordic inspired Christmas at home, with ideas for decorations, rooms, tree and table, creative cards and gift wrapping - including charming mini craft projects and helpful hints - this In Good Company workshop is all the creative inspiration you need for the festive season.
THE INSPIRATION
Simplicity is the hallmark of the Nordic lifestyle – everything from food preparation to fine conversation bears this out. That said, there is a lot of thought put into making this simple approach both warm and inviting. In Good Company mirrors this characteristic in many ways, and we spent many hours thinking of new ways to make the art of preparation – whether it’s a Christmas Eve banquet or a quick morning brunch – a more memorable experience.
This workshop is filled with seasonal inspiration, and combined with tried-and-true party ideas, so that preparing for even the most humble, holiday event will be something to anticipate with pleasure.
THE COLOURS
The rich and vibrant green tones of northern spruces are traditionally seasoned with red during the holiday period. But this year, add some sugar plum pink and an icy pale blue therefore contrasting magnificently with the natural greens. The surroundings maintain their seasonal cosiness, but the playful hues lend the overall atmosphere a smidgen more summery than usual. The pastel colours can also be offset with shades of sea blues and darker pinks, so when it’s time to put the mistletoe away, the decor can blend in perfectly with much of your everyday ware all summer long.
