Our final post on Confetti wedding tables with a Christmas twist has arrived, but I must say it has been quite refreshing to see how varied table centres can be, and how you can create completely different looks from all sorts of different things, and more often than not it is from goodies that you already own.
table 1: food and flowers
I like how this table centre has used a basket tiered stand (we have these exact ones available for hire) but instead of filling the stand with only cupcakes, the top layer has in fact been filled with a posy of flowers. This look can be created with tiered ceramic cake stands (just place flowers in glass votives) or our "bowl" shaped tiered silver trays.
table 2: flowers and feathers
This centrepiece has "traditional" written all over it, in that it has a mass flower arrangement, however I think with the substantial addition of foilage (think holly, pine needles and cones at Christmas) and unusual elements like the feathers, you can cut back on the flower budget and still have a lovely centrepiece.
table 3: boudoir style
Besides the always en vogue black and white colour scheme and the use of lots of candlelight from various vessels: tall candlesticks, large and small candle votives; the flower centrepieces are striking in that tight bunches of black and white blooms have been arranged in hat boxes and decorated with pearls and ribbon. For Christmas, this colour scheme is a good choice if you after something chic and square gift boxes work just as well even if you just tie pretty bows around them!
table 4: stunning simplicity
If you are especially fortunate in that your dining room on it's own is beautifully decorated, then resist the urge to over decorate your Christmas table. In this case, less is more and the addition of a striking candelabra (we just got in some lovely silver 5-arm ones available for hire), some pearls and table gems scattered on the table really does look classy! And if you feel you need to add just a sprinkle of Christmas cheer, our holly candle rings around each candlestick would be the cherry on the top.
So have you planned your Christmas table centre? If you have we would love to hear what you have planned or better yet see a preview or two?
