Yesterday, we shared some Confetti inspired wedding table centrepieces for inspiration for our Christmas tables. So here are some more ideas:
table 1: bird cages
Whilst initially you may not immediately think of this as a typical Christmas scene, think about doing it in red and green, with the addition of holly and berries and then you are nicely playing up the little red robin theme. Or do something similar to the Winter Wonderland we created in this month's issue of the Good Newsletter, by adding to the bird cages, snow covered trees, mushrooms and metallic birds.
table 2: cupcakes
Let your table centre do double duty, and display food especially dessert as part of the centrepiece. Christmas coloured cupcakes or cookies work well, especially for a "cookie swap" or casual afternoon tea get together. Have you see our range in store aptly called Gingerbread Tea Party designed by Gisela Graham? The tree decorations look good enough to eat!
table 3: small colour coordinated posies
This one is a goodie! Imagine this in red and so easy to do! Think red tablecloth and napkins, red poinsettias/amaryllis/roses in small glass votives, red wine glasses (readily available at Woolies and Mr Price) and a little red box/cracker at each place setting and you are good to go! Plus you can use these plain red items for Valentine's Day!
table 4: glass hurricane in a wreath
Whip your wreath off the door just before lunch, place a tall glass hurricane in the centre with a pillared candle and you have a quick and easy centrepiece in minutes.
Are you enjoying this as much as I am? Tune in tomorrow for more!
