sparkling spruce
If there was an award for the most beautiful Christmas tree, I would have to say I think the one in the Zurich train station will win every time. Without fail, every year this enormous real fir tree is covered in real Swavorski crystal decorations from root to tip - and an impressive sight it is (photos do not do it justice).
I am still umming and ahhing about our Christmas tree this year, not so much the tree as we will buy one from the side of the road when they come out in a few days time. But moreso about the decorations, I think I will go for something traditional, so definitely your typical red and green but thinking maybe I will add in another colour for interest? You would think I would have decided this long ago but I think I have too many options and that is the problem. Fortunately, in Switzerland Christmas Trees are only put up 12 days before Christmas and most in fact on Christmas Eve, so I have got some time.
p.s. I may just go the artistic route and follow along in the foot steps of the tree currently "decorated" in the London Tate Gallery - this year it is "naked".
When do you put up your tree? And what is your "tree theme" this year?
