For our Beside the Seaside wedding reception table, we knew we wanted to mimic the stripey deck chairs that go hand in hand with pebbles beaches of Brighton. This was easily achieved by laying across each place setting broad striped fabric runners in cornflower blue and candy floss pink.
But we didn't stop there with the stripes, and each place setting had a little striped parcel of cutlery complete with a windmill ted on with twine for stirring the cocktails.
Another cute addition was a little ice cream cup of popcorn on top of the plates - something small to keep guest's hunger pains at bay whilst the introductory speeches go underway.
For place cards, mini easel style chalkboards showed off each guest's name.
Glass bottles were recycled and used to serve all different types of English cordials, and were decorated with party circle stickers and Swiss Dot paper straws.
