Mandy Sutcliffe (the lovely and very talented lady behind Belle & Boo) has not only created a stunning range of goodies featuring the little girl Belle and her bunny Boo - but has also introduced Belle (and all of us) to new friends. I particularly love her little "boy" friend on his paper aeroplane, and here is his blonde mate growing yellow flowers for his Mummy.

GOOD FUN - Just for Fun

Christine Nease of Celebrations at Home was having a Vendor Challenge and anyone could enter, so we thought we would give it a go. After signing up, Christine sent through the theme of "Pink and Orange" and it was fun to come up with a party that reflects this and also stays true to her tag line of "at home" parties.

The inspiration came from 100 Layer Cake's Mood Board, Jen Ramo's artwork from Cocoa & Hearts and Martha Stewart's A Year of Celebration's suggestion of mixing neons and neutrals - oh and I nearly forgot this Kate Spade dress! (Just shows you can find inspiration from anywhere and everywhere).

Not sure what cake you would like for your next party or wedding, but are the "keep it sweet and simple" type? How about going for something neutral and just trimmed with pretty ribbon to match your colours. Here is a pic of Martha Stewart's take on a "beribboned" cake - and did you see Vicki Sleet's (of I Want That) wedding cake over at her new blog I Want That Wedding - pure ribbon bliss!

Yesterday, I was sharing the idea of using Cavallini & Co. wrapping paper as framed art work, and then I spotted afterwards this better idea (and definitely easier) idea of stringing up their Alphabet Flashcards for some 3D artwork. What a brilliant idea for a nursery or child's bedroom - and can easily be transformed back into a "toy". (and how cool is the "A" poster - you could so easily make this yourself - I am now seriously tempted to do a giant Z for Zara's room!).

And what is even more exciting is that I was able to read the issue here in Switzerland as you can now subscribe digitally. It is great as I can read it whenever I have a spare moment at home or even whilst I am on the go.

IN GOOD HANDS - Craft Project

I have a new found addiction: art! Or to be more precise graphic prints, and have been finding some really awesome ones. In my search I also came across this great idea of converting Cavalini Wrapping Paper to Framed Art. 


The Cavallini & Co. paper is of excellent archival paper quality and measure 50 x 70cm - so quite an impressive size! All you need to do is take the paper to a photo shop and they often do block mounting which is great look for a child's bedroom or office, or one can frame with either an off the shelf frame or get really fancy and take it to a professional framer - which is a real possibility considering the art work itself is only R45 - but you would never thing so framed!

Here are the pics as promised and they were taken seconds before the guests arrived. As you can see lots of In Good Company goodies on display: Hello Hanna sweet stands, straws, ribbon, red and white bakers twine, paper plates, paper table cloth, cupcakes cases (pink stripes), cake toppers and matching cupcake cases.

I have to add that all the eats were wheat-free. I certainly need a good rest after long hours in the kitchen…

The pink on pink palette with shots of cherry red - it really makes all the yummy food stand out.

The gorgeous fabric favour bags and how lovely are the Sambellina Thank You Tags she sourced all the way from Donna Hay Australia.

Those cupcakes are to die for and look so cute on the cupcake sweet stands!

All the lovely little details like ribbon bows, ribbon flags on skewers and of course! the mini cake bunting - too cute for words.

One of my favourite wedding "themes" at the moment is "on the farm". I love all the pale colours and the contrast of glamour against a rustic backdrop. There is so much room for original ideas from chandeliers in barns to this (possibly easier to execute idea) of serving drinks in the back of a pick up! Plus add our new Just Married bunting for the final touch.
